Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Operations Manager to lead the end-to-end management of our conservation Lodge Retreat. This role is responsible for overseeing all operational functions to ensure excellence in guest experience, staff performance, sustainability, and profitability in a nature-based setting at Corbett Tiger Reserve.
Role & responsibilities
- Operational Leadership Lead all operational departments including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, guest services, wellness/ well-being, customer service, sales and engage with the Experiences team to deliver the guest journey. Establish and enforce high standards of service, safety, hygiene, and sustainability. Ensure smooth daily operations with attention to detail and consistency. Investment planning and execution. 
- Strategic & Financial Management Develop and execute short-term and long-term operational strategies aligned with the retreats vision and mission and conservation values. Manage operational budgets, cost controls, procurement, and financial reporting. Optimize occupancy, revenue, and resource allocation in collaboration with sales. Develop and implement strategies to align with the umbrella brand. Conduct regular market intelligence to track industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities. Identify and evaluate new revenue streams to drive business growth. 
- Guest Experience Oversee the delivery of exceptional guest experiences from booking, information shared prior to arrival, arrival, stay and departure. Respond to guest feedback, including but not limited to, Trip Advisor, OTAs and implement continuous improvement measures. Ensure personalized service that reflects the uniqueness of the jungle lodge environment. Guest Orientation. 
- Maintenance & Facilities Management Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of buildings, equipment and utilities. Ensure the lodge remains in optimal condition while maintaining its natural charm. Manage water, power, and waste systems efficiently, often with off-grid technologies. 
- Team Management & HR Recruit, train, motivate, and retain a skilled, multicultural team. Set performance expectations, conduct evaluations and foster a positive work culture. Promote staff development, cross-training, and leadership from within. 
- Sustainability & Community Engagement Champion environmental responsibility and implement eco-friendly initiatives and document these initiatives. Build strong relationships with local communities, authorities, and suppliers. Integrate local culture, knowledge, and values into guest engagement initiatives. 
- Reporting & Communication Provide regular reports to the management regarding financial performance, challenges, and key operating metrics. Serve as the main point of contact for operational decisions and crisis management. 
- Data Analytics, Feedback and Product Management Capture guest interests & buying behaviour across revenue streams and suggest product enhancement based on observations. Collate feedback to identify cohort behaviour to enhance guest experience. Create new products. Contributing in implementing operational processes for soon to be launched brands/property. 
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Environmental Management or related field.
Minimum 12–15 years of operational leadership experience preferably in jungle retreats, eco-lodges, or similar hospitality settings.
Strong financial acumen and operational planning skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams in challenging locations.
Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Willingness to live in Corbett.
