We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Cloud FinOps Analyst to help manage and optimize our public cloud spending across AWS, Azure, and GCP. This role plays a critical part in driving financial accountability, enabling cost transparency, and supporting efficient cloud usage across our engineering and product teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud cost management, financial analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.

Primary Skills: Cloud FinOps

Secondary Skills: Public Cloud Foundation (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, analyze, and report on cloud costs using native tools and dashboards across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Identify key cost drivers, anomalies, and optimization opportunities through data-driven analysis.
  • Develop and implement cloud cost optimization strategies, including rightsizing, reserved instance planning, and efficient architecture recommendations.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to drive cost-effective deployment and infrastructure management.
  • Assist in cloud budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis with finance and procurement stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain allocation models for project-level and departmental cost transparency.
  • Promote FinOps best practices across engineering, finance, and product teams.
  • Automate cost tracking, alerting, and reporting wherever feasible.
  • Evaluate, implement, and manage FinOps tools to enhance cost visibility and governance.
  • Contribute to establishing cloud cost policies and enforce compliance with industry best practices.
  • Stay informed on the latest cloud pricing models, FinOps methodologies, and service offerings from major cloud providers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Cloud FinOps, cloud cost optimization, or cloud engineering.
  • Proficiency in cloud cost management tools across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience in data visualization (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial data to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure concepts and billing structures.
  • Scripting skills (Python, Bash) for automation are desirable.
  • Relevant cloud certifications are a plus.
  • Experience in Agile environments is preferred.
