Job Title: Supplier Quality & Process Engineer – EPC Products

Location: Hyderabad

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Supplier Quality & Process Engineer with experience in EPC product quality inspection and supplier process audits. The role involves ensuring the quality of incoming components and systems from vendors, verifying compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and internal quality requirements. You will work closely with the procurement, engineering, and project execution teams to monitor, evaluate, and improve supplier performance and process quality for engineering products across domains like infrastructure, energy, and industrial systems.

Key Responsibilities:


• Conduct supplier quality inspections for EPC products and ensure compliance with technical specifications, drawings, and project requirements.


• Perform incoming quality checks (IQC) and in-process audits at vendor locations and at internal sites.


• Review and approve supplier quality documents, including QAPs, test reports, certificates, and inspection reports.


• Identify non-conformities, initiate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and follow through to closure.


• Evaluate and monitor supplier process capability, perform process audits, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.


• Coordinate with suppliers for NCR resolutions, root cause analysis, and preventive planning.


• Ensure all EPC product checks adhere to ISO, ASME, ASTM, or other applicable standards.


• Maintain quality records, generate inspection reports, and support project documentation for customer and internal audits.


• Collaborate with internal teams on supplier onboarding, evaluation, and approval.


• Provide feedback to design and procurement teams on manufacturability and supplier constraints.

Required Qualifications:


• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.


• 3–5 years of experience in supplier quality, product inspection, or process engineering within an EPC or manufacturing environment.


• Strong knowledge of EPC products, quality inspection procedures, and fabrication standards.


• Familiarity with QA/QC tools, including checklists, QAPs, inspection reports, and measurement techniques.


• Hands-on experience with mechanical inspection tools – calipers, micrometers, pressure gauges, weld inspection gauges, etc.


• Working knowledge of standards like ISO 9001, ASME, ASTM, API, or similar.


• Strong documentation and communication skills.


• Ability to travel to supplier sites for audits and inspections as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:


• Experience with EPC project lifecycle, from supplier evaluation to commissioning.


• Exposure to steel structures, piping, valves, pressure vessels, skids, or modular heat exchangers.


• Knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and process improvement methodologies (e.g., 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA).


• Experience using ERP or quality software tools for vendor quality tracking.
