Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Chennai for a Junior Advocate. The Junior Advocate will assist with legal research, drafting, reviewing, and filing documents, court appearances, and client consultations. The role also includes supporting senior advocates, preparing case files, and keeping up-to-date with legal updates and amendments.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of legal research, drafting, and legal writing
  • Proficiency in reviewing and analyzing legal documents and preparing case files
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills for client consultations and court appearances
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Understanding of Indian legal procedures and familiarity with local laws
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and under the direction of senior advocates
  • Law degree (LLB or equivalent) and enrollment with the Bar Council of India
  • Prior experience or internship in a law firm is advantageous but not mandatory
