Senior CAD Technician

•

• o contribute for Mechanical Infrastructure projects, such as sewer and watermains, pumping stations, treatment plants, recycled water, dams, desalination plants, preparing GA drawings and piping layouts, and process drawings as per WSP CAD standards.

• esponsible for generating and maintaining federated BIM compliant models, undergoing clash detection and reporting, database management and manipulation in compliance with client BIM and CAD standards.
  
  •

• his role is to contribute to support on piping task of utilities infrastructure CAD team delivering wet utilities (including Wastewater / Water Sewage Pumping Station and Water management for municipal service) deliverables in compliance with WSP CAD standards.
  
  •

• esponsible for Preparation of drawings including conceptual sketches and detailed construction drawings, using Plant3D /AutoCAD Autodesk software with quality and accuracy.
  
  •

• entor, train and develop junior staff members and guide them on best practice engineering and design principles. Improving efficiencies and task management for better client outcomes.

• ake ownership for large and small projects, and conduct meetings, check ins, design reviews with clients, engineers, other design staff showcasing a high level of technical and professional acuity.

• orking knowledge of Autodesk Vault software. Our CDE (Common Data Environment).

• esponsible for the preparation of Bill of Materials, Quantity take-off's and schedules for equipment, piping and accessories associated with water projects and WSP/client standards.

• ust have the ability to develop, layouts, labelling, dimensioning, sheet layout, design details and other appropriate design concepts. Develop detail design drawings incorporating vendor Data and 3D drawings for water treatment plant projects.

• nsure Models, Drawings Schedules and Design Data is issued correctly, filed in the correct location for adherence to WSP standards.

• xperience with utilities water pipeline projects: potable water supply mains from DN50-DN1200, pumping stations, reservoirs, water sampling stations, bulk metering systems, chemical dosing systems etc. (note this is bulk distribution and reticulation services, not house and business connections)
  
  •

• xperience with utilities wastewater and recycled water pipeline: projects: gravity sewers and rising mains of all sizes and various pipe materials, pumping stations, emergency storage systems, odour control units etc.
  
  •

• xperience with projects in Australia, New Zealand would be an advantage
