- Order Processing and Management:
- Receiving and processing customer orders.
- Verifying orders and ensuring accuracy.
- Preparing shipping documents (invoices, packing lists, etc.).
- Managing and updating sales order information.
- Scheduling and Dispatch:
- Planning and scheduling deliveries based on customer orders and delivery schedules.
- Assigning loads and routes to drivers.
- Monitoring delivery schedules and tracking shipments.
- Coordinating with drivers and customers to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Inventory Management:
- Checking inventory levels to determine stock availability.
- Anticipating delivery requirements and placing/expediting orders.
- Record Keeping and Documentation:
- Maintaining accurate records of shipments, dispatch logs, and billing information.
- Preparing reports and analysis on dispatch performance.
- Customer Service and Communication:
- Liaising with customers to address inquiries and resolve issues.
- Communicating with drivers to provide updates and instructions.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and procedures.
- Adhering to safety protocols during the dispatch process.
