Role Purpose

The Tour Coordinator will be responsible for managing and supervising multi-day group tours as well as day tours organized under the Backpackers brand. During periods when long tours are not scheduled, the Tour Coordinator will actively conduct day tours and also support business development efforts by approaching schools and colleges in Delhi NCR. This role combines operational execution, client handling, and business development to ensure growth and success of the Backpackers brand.

Key Responsibilities1. Group Tour Coordination

  • Plan, organize, and execute multi-day group tours for schools and colleges.
  • Coordinate logistics including transport, accommodation, meals, and activities.
  • Supervise participants during the tour, ensuring safety, discipline, and satisfaction.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and vendors throughout the tour.

  • Day Tour Execution

  • Conduct and supervise single-day excursions under the Backpackers brand.

  • Coordinate with vendors, activity providers, and transport operators.
  • Ensure smooth execution of logistics, adherence to schedules, and safety protocols.

  • Collect feedback from participants and provide post-tour reports.

  • Business Development for Day Tours

  • Approach new schools and colleges across Delhi NCR to promote day tour activities.

  • Follow up on leads provided by the marketing team and nurture them into confirmed bookings.
  • Conduct school visits, presentations, and client interactions to secure business.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to refine offerings based on client needs and market demand.

  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors (transport, activity providers, food suppliers).

  • Negotiate costs, ensure service quality, and confirm availability.

  • Build rapport with school authorities and faculty for repeat and referral business.

  • Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain records of tours conducted, client interactions, and leads converted.

  • Provide weekly reports to management on progress in business development and tour execution.
  • Document client feedback and suggest improvements to packages.

Key Skills & Attributes Required

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to handle large student groups with discipline and empathy.
  • Prior experience in travel coordination, tour management, or business development preferred.
  • Problem-solving mindset with ability to respond calmly in high-pressure situations.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within Delhi NCR and accompany groups on tours.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹240, ₹360,000.00 per year
