Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented
Network/Infrastructure Penetration Tester
with
4+ years' experience
in
manual security assessments
. You will be responsible for identifying, exploiting, and reporting vulnerabilities in internal/external infrastructure, networks, firewalls, VPNs, and other critical assets using deep, hands-on techniques (not just automated scans).

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct
    manual infrastructure and network pentests
    (internal & external environments).
  • Evaluate firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, load balancers, servers, etc. for misconfigurations or vulnerabilities.
  • Perform port scanning, banner grabbing, service enumeration, and protocol‐level analysis.
  • Exploit vulnerabilities using manual methods and custom scripting (Python, Bash, etc.).
  • Discover and exploit misconfigurations (e.g. weak SNMP, default credentials, SMB shares).
  • Analyze and exploit network services: DNS, SMTP, FTP, SSH, RDP, etc.
  • Test for segmentation weaknesses and lateral movement paths within networks.
  • (Bonus) Assess cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) infrastructure from network & IAM perspectives.
  • Produce detailed, clear technical and executive-level reports, including PoCs, risk scores, and remediation steps.
  • Collaborate with system/network admins and DevOps to explain findings and drive remediation.
  • Stay updated on the latest threats, exploits, and TTPs (Tactics, Techniques, Procedures).

Required Technical Skills & Tools

  • Expert use of
    nmap, netcat, telnet, dig, tcpdump
    , etc.
  • Strong grasp of
    TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPNs, firewalls, network architectures
    .
  • Deep knowledge of network protocol weaknesses (e.g. ARP spoofing, DHCP poisoning).
  • Experience in manual enumeration of SMB, LDAP, HTTP headers, etc.
  • Manual exploitation using
    Metasploit (not auto-pwn)
    .
  • Experience with tools like
    CrackMapExec
    ,
    Responder
    ,
    Impacket
    ,
    Kerberos attacks
    .
  • Credential cracking tools such as
    Hydra, John the Ripper, Hashcat
    .
  • Privilege escalation in Linux & Windows environments.
  • Ability to validate tool outputs (from Nessus, Nexpose, Qualys) manually.
  • Familiarity with
    OWASP Top 10
    ,
    CIS Benchmarks
    , and
    MITRE ATT&CK
    frameworks.
  • Strong documentation skills: PoCs, risk rating, CVSS scoring, clear remediation guidance.

Preferred Certifications (Advantageous but not mandatory)

OSCP / CRTP / CRTE / eCPPT / CPT / CEH (v11+)
