About the Role

We're hiring a Web Developer with strong experience in Laravel and PHP. You'll work on a product we have built with multiple layers, from creating new features to maintaining existing systems. You'll be part of a close-knit team, collaborating on projects, attending online meetings, and helping to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain web applications using Laravel and PHP
• Work with MySQL databases and Laravel's Eloquent ORM
• Create and consume RESTful APIs
• Collaborate with team members during planning and development
• Write clean, well-documented code and follow best practices
• Attend team meetings and provide progress updates
• Meet project deadlines and manage your workload effectively

Skills & Experience RequiredLaravel & PHP

• Solid hands-on experience with Laravel framework
• Strong knowledge of PHP and object-oriented programming
• Understanding of MVC architecture and Laravel Blade templates
• Experience working with Laravel routing, middleware, migrations, and Eloquent ORM
• Knowledge of Laravel features like Artisan, Queues, Jobs, Events, and Notifications
• Understanding of security best practices (validation, sanitisation, authentication)

General Technical Skills

• Good knowledge of MySQL (or other relational databases)
• Basic experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Familiar with Git version control (GitHub, GitLab, etc.)
• Experience testing and debugging code
• Comfortable working on live sites and doing deployments

Soft Skills & Work Style

• Fast learner who enjoys solving problems
• Well-spoken and clear written English (you'll join meetings and communicate with the team)
• Team player who can collaborate, give and receive feedback
• Self-motivated and organised – able to manage your time and tasks
• Willing to ask questions and seek support when needed

Qualifications Required

We care more about your real-world experience than formal education, but ideally, you'll have:

Essential

• 2+ years of experience with Laravel and PHP
• Portfolio, GitHub, or links to real projects
• Strong understanding of full-stack web development basics
• Good command of spoken and written English
• Comfortable working independently and in a remote team

Nice to Have (Not Required)

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science or related field
• Experience working in a start-up or agency environment
• Familiarity with tools like Laravel Livewire, , or
• Knowledge of Docker, basic server setup, or deployment tools
• Experience with Agile or Scrum workflows
