Job Title: Java Backend Developer

Location: Chennai (Open to relocation)

Experience: 5 – 9 Years

Compensation: Up to ₹24 LPA

Education: BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech / MCA

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Java Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in building scalable, high-performance backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and modern database technologies. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying enterprise-grade backend applications that power our business-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications.
  • Build and integrate RESTful APIs to support web and mobile applications.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (Frontend, QA, DevOps, Product) to deliver quality solutions on time.
  • Optimize application performance, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure system reliability.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
  • Participate in design and code reviews, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Research and implement new technologies to improve development efficiency and product performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong programming skills in Java SE/EE with a solid understanding of OOP principles.
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and ORM frameworks such as Hibernate or JPA.
  • Proficiency in relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL and familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.).
  • Experience building RESTful APIs and integrating backend systems with external services.
  • Familiarity with build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
  • Strong understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and design patterns.
  • Exposure to version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
