Identifies, develops, and mentors program management talent within the organization to build a high-performing team. Has significant input into priorities. Guided by professional practices and policies that are shaped by the role. The role has moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of operational judgment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and managing cross functional, technology led, and product focused programs in the Computed Tomography (CT) sub-segment.  Manages budgets and interfaces with contractors, suppliers, customers and internal functions.  Manages program resource and budget allocation/integration. Manages schedule, budget, and tollgate process for NPI, requisition, or sustaining programs.  Influences the programs to meet customer CTQs.
  • Ensure rigorous execution of projects by enforcing standards, methodologies, and best practices across the organization.
  • Strategically plan and allocate resources to ensure optimal capacity for current and future projects.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure program success.
  • Use judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology and engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
  • Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
  • Develop and implement succession plans to ensure continuity and stability within the PMO and broader engineering organization.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management practices and outcomes.
  • Estimate and track the engineering program spends to the budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align project goals with organizational objectives. Represent programs in executive forums/updates.
  • Explain difficult or sensitive information; work to build consensus & use persuasion skills required to influence others.
     

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field.

Technical Skills:

  • Professional experience in complex product development (Systems, Hardware, Software).
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Experience working in agile environments, such as Kanban and Scrum.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Proficiency in defining and executing delivery strategies and plans, creating KPIs to measure progress, and working with partner organizations.
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization and utilizing shared resources to achieve program and organizational success.
