Role Overview:
We are hiring a payroll specialist with mandatory hands-on ADP payroll experience to manage payroll processing for one of our key clients. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage payroll in compliance with client-specific policies, timelines, and reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for the client using ADP payroll platforms
- Manage multi-state and multiple payroll cycles across US locations, ensuring compliance with state-specific requirements.
- Administer commissions, bonuses, and other variable pay structures, including partnership distributions (highly desirable).
- Collaborate with clients finance/legal teams to handle partnership accounting and attorney compensation structures.
- Ensure compliance with US HR, federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including reporting, tax filings, and audits.
- Liaise directly with the clients HR, Finance, and Operations teams for payroll inputs, validations, and approvals.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records (new hires, terminations, salary revisions, benefits, deductions).
- Prepare and validate payroll reports for client review, ensuring 100% accuracy.
- Process off-cycle payments, adjustments, bonuses, and garnishments as per client instructions.
- Reconcile payroll results and investigate discrepancies promptly.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in commerce, Finance, HR, or related field.
- 510 years of progressive payroll experience, preferably in US payroll operations.
- Strong hands-on expertise in ADP Workforce Now (end-to-end payroll, reporting, integrations).
- Experience with US multi-state payroll compliance and knowledge of federal, state, and local tax/payroll laws.
- Exposure to commissions, variable pay, and partnership accounting in a professional services or law firm environment preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours with significant overlap in US Eastern/Connecticut time zone.
- MUST HAVE US PAYROLL & ADP WORFORCE NOW EXPERIENCE
