Job Title: Senior Data Scientist

  • 7 YearsAbout the Role:The Sales Analytics team within DataLabs partners closely with business channels to enhance campaigns and design sales strategies using advanced analytics and data-driven insights.

This role requires an experienced professional with expertise in data analytics, machine learning, and predictive modeling. The candidate will work on real-world sales analytics problems, interact with senior leadership, and drive end-to-end analytics solutions and implementations. Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform data analysis and develop predictive models to generate actionable insights for sales channels.
  • Work closely with business teams to understand their needs and identify opportunities for improvement using analytics.
  • Translate complex business challenges into structured analytics problem statements.
  • Lead analytics projects from data exploration, feature engineering, and model development to implementation and performance tracking.
  • Ensure adherence to model governance guidelines and industry best practices.
  • Present analytical findings and recommendations effectively to senior leadership.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a data-driven culture.

Required Qualifications & Skills :Education: Graduate/Postgraduate in Engineering, Statistics, Economics, or related fields. Work Experience :

  • 5-7 years of hands-on experience in data science, predictive modeling, and machine learning.
  • Strong background in executing multiple data science projects, preferably in financial services, sales, or marketing analytics.
  • Experience collaborating with business teams to identify analytics opportunities and presenting insights to stakeholders.
  • Expertise in ML techniques such as GLM/Regression, Clustering, Decision Trees, Boosting, etc.
  • Proven ability to translate business problems into data science solutions.

Technical Skills :

  • Proficiency in Python (scikit-learn, pandas) and SQL.
  • Experience with AWS ML ecosystem (Athena, SageMaker) is a plus.

Soft Skills :

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to present insights and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Leadership capabilities with experience mentoring junior team members.

Preferred Skills & Certifications :

  • Prior experience in sales analytics, financial services, or marketing analytics.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS-based analytics tools and machine learning services.
