Job Description

What you get to do in this role:

  • Manage month-end closing activities related to revenue, including journal entries, reporting, and account reconciliations. Ensure all entries have proper documentation, approvals, and alignment with accounting policies.

  • Review close tasks in adherence to deadlines, applying strong analytical skills to identify and resolve underlying issues and discrepancies.

  • Support the resolution of technical revenue issues and ensure timely, accurate completion of the revenue close cycle.

  • Oversee end-to-end commissions accounting management, accrual, validation, reporting, and compliance with ASC 606 and company policies.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, IT, Sales Operations, etc.) to drive collaboration, consistency, and process efficiency.

  • Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives, driving them to successful completion.

  • Help maintain and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure US GAAP and SOX compliance.

  • Support internal and external audits by reviewing required schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.

  • Exhibit a clear understanding of the "why" and "how" behind accounting processes, applying sound judgment to efficiently resolve issues.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

  • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry
  • 8+ years of experience with a background in a Big 4 public accounting firm (consulting) or revenue accounting background within SaaS-based multinational companies preferred.
  • An active CA or CPA designation and industry accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge / ASC 606 / revenue accounting knowledge preferred.
  • Working knowledge of current literature related to ASC 606.
  • Proven team management experience with the ability to lead, mentor, and develop team members while driving high performance and collaboration.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work within a team to expedite completion of projects with other teams including FP&A, Sales, Marketing, and IT.
  • Experience with MS Office software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with SAP is preferred.
