Job Title: Franchise Invoice Auditor

Department: Accounting & Finance

Location: Andheri East

Employment Type: Full-Time (12:30PM-9:30PM)

At SGAS Consultants, we specialize in providing comprehensive backend financial and operational support to leading hotel brands in the USA, including Hilton, Marriott, IHG, and Hyatt. We are currently seeking a meticulous and experienced Franchise Invoice Auditor to review and reconcile franchise-related invoices, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and full compliance with contractual terms.

Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be responsible for auditing invoices issued by hotel franchisors and related third-party services. Key responsibilities include:

Invoice Review & Verification

  • Audit franchise invoices for accuracy against contractual agreements.
  • Verify royalty fees, marketing contributions, technology fees, and other charges.
  • Ensure proper application of taxes, payment terms, and discounts.

Discrepancy Identification

  • Detect billing errors, overcharges, or missed credits.
  • Reconcile discrepancies with supporting documentation.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, discrepancies, and recommendations.
  • Maintain organized records of all reviewed invoices and communications.

Compliance & Advisory

  • Ensure all invoices comply with contractual obligations.
  • Provide insights or recommendations to prevent recurring billing issues.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in auditing franchise or hospitality industry invoices.
  • Strong understanding of franchise fee structures, royalty calculations, and hospitality contracts.
  • Proficiency in Excel and accounting/financial software.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and reporting skills.
  • Familiarity with US hotel franchise agreements is preferred.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost Accountant (CMA) qualification preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proven experience in hospitality finance, audit, or accounts reconciliation, preferably for US clients.
  • Strong understanding of franchise fee structures, royalty and marketing fund calculations, and hotel contracts.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting/ERP software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy.
  • Effective communication and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines across different time zones.
  • Familiarity with US hospitality industry accounting practices is an added advantage.
