As an SEO Intern , your role and responsibilities typically involve working closely with the SEO team or independently depending on the organizational structure. Here's a breakdown of what you might expect:

  • Keyword Research: Identify relevant keywords and search terms using tools like Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, or similar tools to support SEO campaigns.
  • On-Page & Off-Page Optimization: Assist in optimizing website content, meta tags, headings, and URLs, and support link-building activities to improve search rankings.
  • Content Optimization: Work with the content team to update and create SEO-friendly content aligned with keyword strategies.
  • Technical SEO Support: Help in identifying and resolving technical issues such as site speed, indexing, and mobile responsiveness.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze website performance using Google Analytics and Google Search Console. Prepare basic SEO performance reports.
  • Competitor Research: Analyze competitors' SEO strategies to find new opportunities for improvement.
  • Local SEO (if applicable): Support optimization of Google Business Profiles, manage local listings, and monitor reviews.
  • SEO Audits: Assist in conducting website SEO audits and preparing action points for improvement.
  • Learning & Updates: Stay informed about the latest SEO trends, tools, and algorithm updates.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with content writers, designers, and developers to ensure proper implementation of SEO recommendations.
