Key Skill Sets
Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in law, business administration, or experienced paralegal with US foreclosure and bankruptcy handling experience required
Experience: At least 5-10 years of extensive experience in foreclosure and bankruptcy and/or risk management, particularly in the legal services sector. At least 5- 10 years of experience with foreclosure and bankruptcy processes, experience in FNMA and FHLMC minimum requirements is essential.
Knowledge: In-depth understanding of investor and GSE requirements, as well as key state requirements for foreclosure. Must be familiar with all types of documentation used in the FC.BK processes. Familiarity with financial condition assessments and insurance requirements for legal firms.
Skills: Strong analytical skills to assess and identify risks, excellent communication skills to coordinate with various internal departments, and the ability to perform due diligence and reconciliation tasks effectively.
Technical Proficiency: Ability to handle MSP systems, submit payee header requests using Lexis Nexis applications, and manage compliance notifications (Blasts) to the attorney network through our GRC system of record.
Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to document reviews and key foreclosure audits, identify, log and track findings and ensure timely remediation of identified issues.
Problem-Solving Abilities: Capability to identify and escalate risk items involving the firms and address them promptly.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with, TPRM Managers, first line functional owners in default, Legal and other internal SMEs that support TPRM as needed.

Role Description Summary
Must have strong handle on BK/FC processes and documentation used by law firms in order to properly assess the handling of foreclosure and bankruptcy files within investor and GSE minimum firm requirements, as well as key state requirements for foreclosure.
Coordinate annual due diligence of all firms, including reviewing their internal policies and procedures, financial condition and insurance requirements with an eye geared to identifying gaps or risks attributable to the firm.
Identify and escalate risk items involving the firms.
Submit payee header requests for MSP and route them for approvals.
Send compliance or vulnerability notifications (Blasts) to the attorney network and track responses if applicable.
Perform reconciliation of the default attorney network to identify concentration risk and risk tier changes.
Track findings identified through the review process for timely remediation.
Must be able to interface with first line default attorney oversight team, compliance, TPSA and legal as well as other default leaders as needed.
Evaluate vendor request forms, open and complete new vendor records and when a vendor is deemed material, triggering a risk assessment to the functional owner in PU. Will need a process unity profile assigned to scope and send due diligence assessments of the vendor network based on risk tier and services provided. Coordinate reviews by SMEs as needed for insurance, financial reviews, Technology Architecture reviews, BCP/DR and Third Party Security Assurance to ensure that new vendors meet our requirements and escalate when there are gaps or deficiencies identified to the VP of TPRM, procurement and the functional owner
