Role description

Job Title: Data QA Analyst

Location: Pune/ Trivandrum
Experience Required: 5+ years

About the Role:

We are looking for a Data QA Analyst with strong experience in ETL Testing and Python scripting to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of our data systems. The ideal candidate will validate ETL processes, perform in-depth data analysis, and automate quality checks to maintain high data standards across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform ETL testing to validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes across diverse data systems.
  • Conduct data validation and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Write and execute SQL queries for data profiling, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate data quality checks and reporting processes.
  • Identify and analyze data anomalies, trends, and discrepancies in large datasets.
  • Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to resolve data quality issues.
  • Document QA processes, test plans, results, and data lineage for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Support continuous improvement of data QA frameworks, tools, and best practices.

Mandatory Skills:

  • ETL Testing (data flow validation, transformation logic, and load testing).
  • Python scripting for automation, data validation, and reporting.

Additional Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and validation.
  • Hands-on experience with Excel for data manipulation and reporting.
  • Familiarity with data QA frameworks, data pipelines, and data governance practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
