Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate all front desk operations, including patient registration, appointment scheduling, and billing queries.
  • Greet and assist patients, visitors, and vendors courteously and professionally.
  • Ensure proper documentation of patient records, insurance details, and referrals.
  • Manage the front desk team including receptionists and support staff assign duties, monitor performance, and provide training.
  • Handle patient complaints or issues efficiently, escalating to the appropriate authority when necessary.
  • Monitor daily OPD schedules and coordinate with doctors and technicians for timely flow of patients.
  • Maintain inventory of front office supplies and ensure the cleanliness and readiness of the reception area.
  • Ensure accurate cash handling, billing entries, and handovers at shift changes.
  • Liaise with departments (billing, pharmacy, lab, etc.) to ensure smooth patient experience.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly front office reports to management.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with hospital policies and protocols.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline (Healthcare Administration or related field preferred)
  • 2-5 years of experience in front office management, preferably in a hospital or eye care facility
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in using hospital management software (HMS), MS Office, and digital tools
  • Ability to multitask, stay calm under pressure, and handle sensitive situations professionally
  • Knowledge of insurance processes and medical terminology is an added advantage.
