Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled individual to join our Fabric Department as a Fabric Development Executive. This role is responsible for creating and maintaining detailed tech packs, coordinating with internal teams and fabric suppliers, and supporting the end-to-end process of fabric sourcing, development, and approvals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain comprehensive tech packs for fabric development including specifications, construction details, finishes, test requirements, and color standards.
  • Work closely with the design, sourcing, and merchandising teams to understand fabric requirements for each season or collection.
  • Coordinate with mills and vendors to source suitable fabrics based on technical specs, price points, and lead times.
  • Monitor lab dips, handlooms, strike-offs, and bulk fabric submissions for accuracy and quality.
  • Follow up on fabric testing and compliance based on buyer requirements (e.g. shrinkage, GSM, colorfastness, etc.).
  • Maintain fabric libraries, records, and databases for all ongoing and past developments.
  • Assist in costing and feasibility analysis for new fabrics.
  • Collaborate with QA and production teams to ensure fabric meets quality standards before bulk.
  • Troubleshoot fabric-related issues in sampling or production phases.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Technology, or Apparel Production.
  • 1-2 years of experience in tech pack creation and fabric development in apparel or textile industry.
  • Strong understanding of woven, knit, and blended fabrics and their properties.
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Excel, and PLM or ERP systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, designers, and technical teams.
