The Production Head will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process, ensuring manufacturing operations are carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality and cost standards. The role involves leading cross-functional teams, optimizing production schedules, implementing process improvements, and ensuring alignment with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and control production to ensure efficient manufacturing and timely delivery of products.

  • Drive productivity, quality, and efficiency across all production lines.

  • Prepare and monitor production schedules and ensure on-time completion of targets.

  • Optimize resource utilization (manpower, machinery, materials) to minimize downtime and waste.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

  • Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and R&D teams for smooth operations.

  • Lead process improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, TPM, etc.).

  • Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

  • Manage production budgets and control operating costs.

  • Ensure workforce training, development, and performance management.

  • Oversee new product trials, capacity expansion, and technology upgrades.

  • Maintain documentation and reporting for production KPIs and audits.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Sound understanding of manufacturing processes, machinery, and plant operations.

  • Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and Six Sigma practices.

  • Analytical and problem-solving ability.

  • Excellent planning, coordination, and execution skills.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
