Roles & Responsibilities
Payroll Management
- Process monthly payroll for all employees in line with internal policies and statutory requirements
- Validate attendance, leave data, variable components, and deductions before payroll closure
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for payroll-related activities
- Handle full and final settlements
- Manage insurance processes for employee's and the organisation
Statutory Compliance
- Ensure timely filing and payment of statutory contributions such as PF, ESI, PT, LWF, and TDS
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory returns (e.g., Form 24Q, PF ECR, ESI returns)
- Stay up to date on labor laws and compliance updates and ensure alignment
- Coordinate with auditors and support compliance reviews or inspections
Reconciliation & Reporting
- Reconcile payroll and statutory liabilities with accounts
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for payroll and compliance audits
- Generate MIS reports related to payroll, CTC break-up, tax workings, and statutory payments
- Address employee queries related to salary, tax, and statutory deductions
- Preparing budget and analysis of spends vs budgets
- Monthly and quarterly reporting of financials
- Co-ordinating with HR and finance on policies and processes
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or related field; MBA (HR/Finance) is a plus
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in payroll, statutory compliance, and reconciliation
- Hands-on experience with payroll software (SAP, Zoho, GreytHR, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws, Income Tax Act, and payroll processes
- Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large datasets
- Attention to detail, analytical skills, and confidentiality
