Senior Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities :
- Responsible for product design & support to the global clients.
- Understanding customer requirements, detail design, modelling and drawing release.
- Responsible for handling Engineering documentation projects.
- Preparation/presentation of design reports, review part/assembly drawing quality check per standards and project reviews.
- Ensuring to meet quality and commitment goals.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, Product Management, manufacturing, purchasing and quality control, regulatory departments as well as suppliers.
- Follow Engineering Change Management process (ECR/ECO) and execute projects independently.
- Good communication with stakeholders
Essential Skillset:
- Good knowledge on engineering concepts.
- Good knowledge on drawing Standards (ISO, ANSI/ASME)
- Hands on experience on CAD tool Solid works (Part, Sheet metal, Assembly & drawing modules) and handle large assemblies and configurations.
- Hands on experience on Sheet metal design DFM & DFA.
- Good Knowledge on any PDM & PLM tools.
- Hands on experience on Engineering change management (ECR/ECO) process.
- Capability to understand/ apply design calculations.
- Tolerance Stack-up analysis.
- Able to work on global product development projects independently.
- Good project planning, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and highly organized.
- Problem solving & trouble shooting
