Role: Chief Manager - Broking (Training Manager)
Job location: Parel, Mumbai
Role Summary:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Learning & Development professional to design, develop, and deliver domain and functional learning programs tailored for the Broking vertical. The role involves working closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive skill development initiatives, certification programs, leadership development, and strategic learning interventions that contribute to enhanced performance and capability building.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Designing Domain & Functional Learning Programs
- Design and deliver technical and functional training modules, workshops, and certification programs for employees and channel partners.
- Develop new content aligned with dynamic market and regulatory conditions.
- Assess training effectiveness and ensure content is relevant, technically complete, and aligned with business challenges.
- Identify skill gaps and address them through focused interventions.
2. Training Delivery
- Deliver engaging and effective training programs that drive knowledge retention and application.
- Gather real-life case studies and business scenarios to enrich training content.
- Identify the right target audience and ensure content relevance.
- Leverage digital tools to drive adoption of in-house developed digital learning modules.
3. Developing & Implementing Learning Strategies
- Formulate and execute L&D strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Evaluate individual and organizational learning needs.
- Drive organization-wide learning initiatives such as certifications, structured learning paths (SLP), and virtual training programs.
- Collaborate with leaders across the Broking vertical to identify and implement competency-based learning programs.
4. Designing Advanced Programs with External Institutes
- Design best-in-class advanced learning programs in collaboration with external institutes (e.g., NIA, IIMs).
- Manage relationships with domain experts and third-party training providers.
- Curate programs for senior employees and high-potential channel partners.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
- Graduation in any stream (Mandatory)
- MBA preferred (NIA / MET / AMET desirable)
- Minimum Associate Level Certification (Mandatory)
Experience:
- 8+ years in training, sales, operations, underwriting, or claims
- Mandatory experience in General Insurance
- Strong understanding of commercial line products
Key Skills Required:
- Advanced content design and training delivery skills
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Advanced influencing and stakeholder management
- Moderate digital learning proficiency
- Good negotiation and relationship-building abilities
