Job Description: Informatica PowerCenter Developer (with SQL Stored Procedure Expertise)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Informatica PowerCenter Developer with strong expertise in SQL development and stored procedures. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes, ensuring data accuracy, performance, and scalability across complex data integration environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support business requirements.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Perform data analysis, profiling, and validation to ensure data quality and integrity across multiple sources.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize Informatica mappings, sessions, and workflows for performance improvements.
  • Implement error handling, logging, and auditing within ETL processes.
  • Support data migrations, enhancements, and production deployments.
  • Provide BAU support and work on continuous enhancements of existing ETL solutions.
  • Document technical specifications, workflows, and support procedures.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter (mappings, workflows, transformations).
  • Strong proficiency in SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, or similar) with proven experience in writing and optimizing complex stored procedures.
  • Solid understanding of RDBMS concepts, data modeling, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with ETL performance optimization and debugging production issues.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, star/snowflake schema, and dimensional modeling.
  • Exposure to scheduling tools (Control-M, Autosys, or similar).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with Informatica IICS / Cloud ETL.
  • Knowledge of Python, Shell scripting, or Unix commands for automation.
  • Experience with reporting/visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Understanding of DevOps CI/CD pipelines for ETL deployment.
