Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken
  • Provide safety training to all employees and contractors, emphasizing best practices and emergency procedures
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for preventive measures
  • Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation to meet legal requirements and internal standards
  • Collaborate with management to address safety concerns, develop improvement plans, and monitor their implementation
  • Participate in safety audits and liaise with external safety regulators as required
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve safety standards
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification
  • 8+ years of experience in Coal Mining industry
