Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage mechanical engineering activities at the coal mine, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of equipment.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address mechanical issues proactively.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess the condition of mechanical assets and recommend improvements.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance staff to ensure adherence to best practices and safety standards.
  • Participate in budget planning and cost control initiatives related to mechanical engineering operations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement in mechanical processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the coal mining industry.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in managing mechanical operations and driving process improvements.
  • Experience in implementing maintenance programs and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
