Position Overview:

The Billing & Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, bills, and quantity take-offs for construction projects. This position ensures that all project costs are properly tracked, client and subcontractor bills are verified, and financial reporting is maintained to support project profitability and transparency.

Key Responsibilities:1. Estimation & BOQ Preparation:

  • Study architectural, structural, and MEP drawings for quantity estimation.
  • Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and cost estimates for new tenders and ongoing projects.
  • Conduct rate analysis for various construction items (civil, finishing, interior works, etc.).
  • Assist in budgeting and cost forecasting during project planning.

2. Billing & Documentation:

  • Prepare and verify client bills, RA (Running Account) bills, and final bills.
  • Generate subcontractor and vendor bills as per work completion.
  • Maintain all billing-related documentation and records for audit and verification.
  • Ensure timely submission of bills to clients and follow up for certification and payments.

3. Site Coordination & Measurement:

  • Work closely with site engineers to collect on-site measurements and verify work done.
  • Check actual site quantities against approved drawings and estimates.
  • Conduct reconciliation of materials, quantities, and payments.
  • Assist in resolving billing discrepancies between site and office.

4. Reporting & Control:

  • Prepare project-wise cost summaries, budget vs actual reports, and cash flow statements.
  • Support project managers in cost control and value engineering initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of rate revisions, material consumption, and variations.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation/billing software.
  • Understanding of construction materials, measurement methods, and market rates.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical ability.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with project and client teams.
  • Detail-oriented, systematic, and deadline-driven approach.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
  • Experience: 2–5 years in Billing & Estimation within a building or infrastructure construction company.
  • Preferred Industry: Civil Construction, Interior Fit-Outs, Residential & Commercial Projects

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Accuracy of cost estimates and quantity take-offs
  • Timely preparation and submission of client/subcontractor bills
  • Reduction in billing errors and discrepancies
  • Efficiency in cost tracking and reporting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25, ₹35,000.00 per month
