Role Description:

The HVAC System Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining HVAC systems specific to metro railcars. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing HVAC systems, including heat transfer and heat exchanger components, and system integration tailored for metro applications.
  • Conducting system analysis, CFD simulations, and performance testing to ensure compliance with railway standards.
  • Preparing technical documentation such as design basis reports, technical specifications, and bill of materials.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including project management, suppliers, testing, and commissioning engineers.
  • Ensuring quality assurance and adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives, problem-solving, and resolving system faults.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in HVAC engineering, including heat transfer, heat exchanger design, system integration, and component selection.
  • Fundamental knowledge of HVAC systems in metro rail and/ or automobile domains.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; industry certifications are a plus.
  • Industry-specific certifications in HVAC design and maintenance are an added advantage
