About the Role:
CIF is seeking a strategic and hands-on IT Head to architect, manage, and future-proof our entire digital ecosystem. This is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing our expansive and rapidly growing data infrastructure (200+ TB, growing at 5 TB/month). You will be the key person in designing a robust archival cvvand retrieval system, ensuring seamless network operations, and supporting our core activities in online courses, webinars, and digital media promotion. You will lead a small team and work closely with the Media Head to manage our valuable digital assets efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic IT & Data Architecture Planning:
Analyze current and future storage requirements across all platforms (Vimeo, local storage, cloud services).
- Design, plan, and implement a comprehensive, scalable, and cost-effective archival and retrieval system for our massive media library.
- Develop and enforce a data lifecycle management policy, including guidelines for downsizing, transcoding, and long-term preservation.
Forecast technology trends and plan budgets for IT infrastructure, ensuring CIF is "future-ready."
Network & Systems Management:
Manage and maintain all local area networks (LAN), wireless networks (Wi-Fi), and internet connectivity to ensure high availability and security.
- Oversee the CCTV system and other security infrastructure.
Implement robust backup, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity protocols.
Webinar & Digital Event Support:
Own the end-to-end technical execution of webinars and online courses: pre-event system setup, live recording, and post-event processing.
Ensure flawless audio-visual quality and reliability for all live online events.
Media Asset Management & Team Leadership:
Manage and mentor a two-member support team for network maintenance and media handling tasks.
- Work directly with the Media Head to understand creative needs and translate them into technical requirements for storage, format, and delivery.
- Oversee the processes for uploading, downloading, and organizing content across various storage platforms (e.g., YouTube, Vimeo, internal servers, cloud archives).
Streamline workflows for processing, tagging, and retrieving media assets.
Ecosystem Integration:
Develop a deep understanding of how all digital components interact—online courses, video albums, eBooks, website, and storage systems—and optimize their integration.
- Evaluate and recommend new software and hardware solutions to improve efficiency.
