Key Responsibilities:

• Food Preparation:Prepare and cook a variety of Chinese dishes, including stir-fries, soups, and noodles, following recipes and standards.
• Ingredient Management:Manage, store, and use ingredients efficiently to minimize waste and control food costs.
• Kitchen Hygiene:Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and on the assigned station.
• Quality Control:Ensure all dishes meet the required quality standards for taste, presentation, and consistency.
• Station Management:Take charge of a specific station (e.g., stir-fry, noodles) and ensure its smooth operation.
• Equipment Maintenance:Keep all equipment in the assigned section clean, functional, and well-maintained.
• Teamwork:Work collaboratively with other kitchen sections and junior chefs to maintain a harmonious working environment.
• Inventory and Requisitions:Monitor stock, make out requisitions for necessary supplies, and assist with deliveries.

Job Progression (CDP vs. Commi 1):

• Commi 1:An entry-level or junior role focusing on fundamental cooking techniques, assisting senior chefs, and learning to maintain an organized workspace.
• CDP (Chef de Partie):A more experienced position that involves greater responsibility for a specific section of the kitchen, including guiding junior chefs and potentially leading that section during service.
