Batch Job Support and Monitoring Lead As the Batch Job Support and Monitoring Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless operations of batch processes within our organization. Your expertise in overseeing the execution, monitoring, and troubleshooting of batch jobs will be crucial in maintaining system efficiency and performance. In this leadership role, you will coordinate with various stakeholders to identify issues, implement solutions, and optimize processes to meet business objectives. You will also manage a team of support staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence. This position is essential to the operational integrity of our systems, contributing directly to the overall success of the organization. Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of batch job schedules and workflows.
  • Monitor batch job execution and ensure timely completion.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve batch job failures.
  • Ensure adherence to batch processing standards and protocols.
  • Collaborate with development teams to enhance batch job performance.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of batch job schedules to optimize efficiency.
  • Maintain documentation of job processes and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to batch support teams.
  • Implement automation solutions to streamline batch processing activities.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for escalation of job-related issues.
  • Work with IT and business stakeholders to define requirements for batch processing improvements.
  • Prepare and maintain regular management reports on job performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal reporting standards.
  • Assist in disaster recovery and business continuity planning related to batch processing.
  • Organize training sessions for team members on batch monitoring tools and techniques.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in batch job monitoring and support.
  • Strong understanding of job scheduling tools and techniques.
  • Experience with incident management systems and processes.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and troubleshooting system issues.
  • Demonstrated experience with process optimization methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and database technologies.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Certifications related to IT operations and management are a plus.
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Experience with automation tools is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of ITIL concepts and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
