Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated WordPress Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web development, with a focus on creating and maintaining WordPress websites. You will be responsible for designing and implementing new features, optimizing existing functionalities, and ensuring high-performance and responsiveness of our applications. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and creative problem-solving skills to deliver exceptional user experiences.

Duties

  • Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress themes and plugins to meet project requirements.
  • Collaborate with designers to create responsive web designs that enhance user experience.
  • Implement SEO best practices to improve website visibility and performance.
  • Utilize version control systems like Git for code management and collaboration.
  • Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure quality assurance throughout the development process.
  • Work with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB for data management.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and web services using RESTful or SOAP protocols.
  • Participate in Agile development processes, contributing to sprint planning and retrospectives.
  • Utilize tools like Trello or Jira for project management and task tracking.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in web development.

Skills

  • Proficiency in WordPress development including PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Experience with front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap, Angular, or React.
  • Knowledge of Docker for containerization and deployment processes.
  • Familiarity with system architecture principles and DevOps practices.
  • Understanding of database management systems including MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, SQLite, or NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
  • Experience with frameworks such as Django or Ruby on Rails is a plus.
  • Ability to create wireframes and user flows for effective UX design.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
  • Strong understanding of data visualization techniques and tools.
