Job Description

We are looking for a seasoned Senior IT Infrastructure and Cloud Administrator with a strong background in hypervisors, VMware, Citrix, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and cloud migration/administration. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, virtualization technologies, and cloud services, with a focus on VMware, Citrix, and cloud platforms. You will be responsible for managing complex IT environments, including virtualized infrastructure, cloud deployments, and migrations, while ensuring optimal performance, security, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Virtualization & Hypervisor Management:

  • Administer and manage VMware vSphere environments, ensuring proper performance, security, and scalability.
  • Configure, deploy, and manage Citrix virtual environments and ensure seamless user access to virtualized applications and desktops.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to virtualization platforms, including VMware, Citrix, and hypervisors (KVM, Hyper-V).

2) Cloud Infrastructure Management:

  • Administer and manage cloud environments using AWS, Azure, and GCP, ensuring efficient operation, security, and scalability.
  • Migrate and optimize on-prem workloads to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), using tools like CloudEndure, Azure Migrate, and AWS Migration Hub.
  • Design and implement cloud architecture for compute, storage, and networking resources in AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Provide expertise in configuring and managing cloud resources such as EC2 instances, Azure VMs, GCP instances, storage, and networking.

3) Cloud Migration & Administration:

  • Lead cloud migration projects, ensuring smooth transition of on-premises infrastructure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Implement cloud governance frameworks, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery solutions for cloud environments.
  • Configure and manage AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, and Route 53.
  • Manage Azure services such as Azure VMs, Storage, Virtual Networks, Azure AD, and Azure Security Center.

4) Server & IT Infrastructure Management:

  • Administer and monitor Windows Server environments , ensuring optimal performance, security, and configuration.
  • Manage Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Objects (GPO) for secure and reliable domain and network infrastructure.
  • Implement patch management using WSUS, SCCM, and Intune to maintain the security and stability of servers and workstations.

5) Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI):

  • Administer and support virtual desktop environments, including Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD), and Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops.
  • Monitor and optimize virtual desktop performance and user experience.

6) Cloud Security & Compliance:

  • Implement and manage cloud security solutions using AWS, Azure, and GCP security services (e.g., AWS Security Hub, Azure Sentinel, GCP Cloud Security Command Center).
  • Apply security best practices in cloud environments, including IAM policies, encryption, and access control.
  • Manage conditional access, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and single sign-on (SSO) for cloud resources.

7) Automation & Scripting:

  • Develop and automate PowerShell, Python, and/or Shell scripts for cloud management, automation, and operational tasks.
  • Implement and manage automation tools like AWS Systems Manager, Azure Automation, and VMware vRealize Automation for efficient infrastructure management.

8) Client and End-User Support:

  • Provide technical support to clients, addressing issues related to cloud applications, virtual desktops, and on-prem infrastructure.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving issues related to VMware, Citrix, Active Directory, Office 365, and cloud services.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement best practices in cloud and virtual desktop management.

Technical Expertise:

  • VMware (vSphere, vCenter, ESXi)
  • Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (XenDesktop/XenApp)
  • Hyper-V, KVM (Knowledge of other hypervisors is a plus)

  • Azure: Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Azure AD, Storage
  • GCP: Compute Engine, Storage, Networking, GCP IAM, Cloud Security
  • Cloud Migration Tools: Azure Migrate, AWS Migration Hub, CloudEndure

Operating Systems & Tools:

  • Windows Server , Windows 11, Office 365
  • Active Directory (AD), Azure AD
  • Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Certifications:
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA)
  • Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect (preferred but not required)
  • ITIL Foundation Certification

Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, including virtualization and cloud technologies.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with VMware and Citrix environments.
  • Strong experience in cloud migration, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Proficiency in server administration, Active Directory, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting for cloud and infrastructure management.

Skills and Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of virtualization technologies and cloud computing platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with clients, teams, and stakeholders.

  • High level of attention to detail, organizational skills, and documentation capabilities.
