Job Summary:

The Material Management Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, procurement, storage, control, and distribution of materials and products according to company needs and customer requirements. This role ensures that materials are acquired in a timely, cost-effective manner and are available to support production and operations without delays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement material management policies and procedures.
  • Plan and forecast material requirements in collaboration with production, engineering, and procurement teams.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing carrying costs.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and manage vendor relationships.
  • Ensure accurate inventory records and manage periodic physical inventory counts and reconciliations.
  • Maintain Tally ERP or inventory management systems to track inventory movement.
  • Supervise material handlers, storekeepers, and warehouse staff.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in material handling and storage.
  • Work closely with finance to align budgeting and cost control initiatives related to material procurement and inventory.

Requirements:

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in materials or supply chain management
  • Experience with Tally Software and MS. Excel

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other inventory management tools.
  • Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30, ₹40,000.00 per month
