Job Description

TESTING ENGINEER

  • MV Switchgear and RMU Testing: Expertise in performing routine and type tests on MV equipment:
  • High Voltage Tests: Power frequency withstand voltage, impulse voltage withstand, and partial discharge (PD) measurements.
  • Mechanical and Operational Tests: Checking interlocking mechanisms, operating times of circuit breakers/disconnectors, and functional checks.
  • Primary and Secondary Injection: Injecting currents/voltages to verify CT/VT ratios, polarity, and overall system functionality.
  • Insulation Resistance and Contact Resistance Measurements.
  • Protection Panel Testing and Commissioning: Relay Testing, scheme testing, Testing the entire protection loop from CT/VT inputs through the panel wiring to the circuit breaker trip coils. Control and Interlocking Checks.
