Description

We are seeking a skilled QC Welding Inspector to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of welding operations through rigorous inspection and testing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct visual inspections of welds to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
  • Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques such as ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant testing.
  • Review and approve welding procedures, ensuring they meet project requirements.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of inspections and findings.
  • Collaborate with welding teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Train and mentor junior inspectors and welding personnel on quality standards and practices.
  • Participate in quality audits and assist in the development of quality assurance programs.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in welding inspection or quality control in a manufacturing or construction environment.
  • Certification as a Welding Inspector (e.g., AWS CWI, CSWIP, or equivalent).
  • Proficiency in non-destructive testing (NDT) methods and techniques.
  • Strong understanding of welding processes, materials, and standards (e.g., ASME, ISO).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with teams.
