About the Role

As an Anchor, you will be the on-screen voice and face for The Economic Times' video initiatives, including live sessions, panel discussions, podcasts, explainer videos, and promotional snippets. You will be expected to bring charisma, clarity, and credibility while moderating discussions, driving audience engagement, and meeting project goals tied to content impact and revenue generation.

We're looking for an anchor who can balance sharp storytelling with business outcomes — someone who not only creates impact on screen but also helps drive the growth of The Economic Times' video ecosystem.

Work Responsibilities

• Moderate live and virtual sessions, webinars, and panel discussions with industry experts.
• Host and record short-form (reels, promos, snippets) and long-form (interviews, podcasts, explainers) video content.
• Collaborate with editorial and production teams on scripts, storyboards, and creative formats.
• Prepare thoroughly with research on session topics, speakers, and audience expectations.
• Bring energy and clarity to on-camera delivery, ensuring professionalism and brand alignment.
• Contribute creative ideas for new video formats and audience engagement strategies.
• Take ownership of project deliverables, ensuring content meets set targets for engagement and revenue contribution.

Skills, Experience & Expertise

• Strong on-camera presence with excellent verbal communication skills in English (Hindi/vernacular fluency is a plus).
• Ability to simplify complex business/tech topics into engaging storytelling.
• Experience in moderating discussions, hosting shows, or presenting on digital/video platforms.
• Knowledge of media production workflows and comfort with teleprompters, live recordings, or scripted content.
• Research-oriented mindset to prepare for interviews, webinars, and thematic video shoots.
• Confidence in experimenting with both formal and conversational tones, depending on content format.
• Understanding of content monetization and ability to align performance with revenue-linked goals.

Eligibility

• Education: Degree/Diploma in Mass Communication, Journalism, Media Studies, or related field.
• Relevant Experience: 3–5 years of anchoring, reporting, or hosting experience in media, digital platforms, or corporate events. A showreel or on-camera portfolio is required.
