Job Summary:

The Output Producer will be responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and executing daily news bulletins and special shows. The role involves coordinating with input, production, graphics, and PCR teams to ensure smooth telecast, maintaining editorial standards, and delivering high-quality news content that aligns with the channel's vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, structure, and produce daily news bulletins and special programs.
  • Coordinate with Input and Assignment teams for story selection and prioritization.
  • Write and edit scripts, headlines, intros, and tickers for on-air presentation.
  • Manage live broadcasts and ensure smooth execution from PCR to studio.
  • Supervise anchors, video editors, and graphics team for content packaging.
  • Ensure editorial accuracy, visual appeal, and time management during live shows.
  • Maintain constant communication with field reporters and bureau teams for updates.
  • Work closely with the Output Head to plan prime-time and breaking news coverage.
  • Monitor competition and audience trends to improve content quality and viewership.
  • Handle urgent changes, breaking news, and last-minute rundowns efficiently.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an Output Producer or similar role in a TV news channel.
  • Strong understanding of news scripting, rundown management, and live broadcasting.
  • Excellent editorial judgment and command over Hindi & English language.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in newsroom software and coordination with PCR & MCR teams.
  • Leadership and teamwork skills to manage a dynamic output team.
