The Senior Executive for Shared Services Operations will be responsible for managing and overseeing end-to-end accounting operations and ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations, standards, and policies. This role requires a detail-oriented and experienced individual to support the shared services function in an organization, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, proper accounting procedures, and full adherence to applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

(1) End-to-End Accounting Management:

  • Oversee and manage daily, monthly, and annual accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and bank reconciliation.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
  • Manage the period-end close process, ensuring timely submission of financial reports.
  • Ensure that all accounting processes comply with company policies and external regulations.

(2) Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
  • Handle statutory audits and coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance with audit requirements.
  • Monitor changes in accounting regulations and ensure the organization's processes and documentation are aligned with current laws.
  • Oversee tax compliance activities including VAT/GST, TDS, and other direct/indirect tax filings.

(3) Financial Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and analyze financial reports and provide actionable insights for management decision-making.
  • Monitor financial performance and variance analysis to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Work with business partners and key stakeholders to understand financial results, KPIs, and action points.
  • Serve as a liaison with key internal and external stakeholders such as auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.
  • Support senior management in strategic decision-making by providing accurate financial data and analysis.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. CA Dropouts preferred.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage accounting operations, compliance, and financial reporting in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable to handle the team of 2-3 junior executives.
  • Ability to manage accounting and compliance reviews of multiple clients.
