Key Responsibilities (Software Side)
• Develop and tune control algorithms (PID, LQR, adaptive/robust control).
• Build dynamic models of mechanical/electrical/aerospace systems in
MATLAB/Simulink.
• Perform stability, frequency response, and disturbance analysis.
• Implement algorithms in embedded platforms (C/C++, Simulink auto-code).
• Conduct system identification and parameter estimation.
• Run SIL, MIL and HIL simulations before hardware deployment
Key Responsibilities (Hardware & Practical Side)
• Select and integrate sensors (IMU, GPS, etc.).
• Select actuators (servos, BLDC motors, ESCs, hydraulic/pneumatic actuators).
• Work with microcontroller boards (STM32, PX4, etc.).
• Interact with power electronics — ESCs, motor drivers, DC-DC converters, protection
circuits.
• Calibrate sensors
• Implement real-time communication ( for example through MAVLink).
• Conduct bench-testing for actuators, motors, and control loops.
• Use oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, function generators for debugging.
• Develop test setup for motors, servo dynamics, propulsion testing, and load-test setups.
• Validate closed-loop control performance on actual hardware (tuning, step response,
frequency tests).
• Perform failure analysis.
• Ensure safety interlocks, emergency stop logic, and redundancy
Qualifications
• B.Tech/M.Tech/Ph.D. in, Aerospace, Control Systems, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Experience with both control theory and embedded/real hardware integration.
• Hands-on experience with tools such as oscilloscopes, power analyzers, DAQ systems.
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, C/C++, embedded debugging
Soft Skills
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work with interdisciplinary teams.
• Clear documentation and communication.
