Civil Works Supervisor

Department: Civil Construction

Role Objective

Coordinate, for planning, supervising, and monitor all site-level civil construction works, structural, sub-structure, and finish ensuring adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and quality and safety standards. Responsible for coordinating with the site vendors/contractors for manpower, materials, and machinery to achieve project timelines efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily site construction activities including excavation, foundation, shuttering, rebar fixing, concreting, masonry, plastering, and finishing etc.

Ensure works are executed as per GFC drawings, method statements, and QA/QC procedures.

Check levels, alignment, and dimensions prior to concreting and finishing works.

Conduct pre-pour, post-pour, and finishing inspections with QA/QC teams.

Supervise waterproofing, retaining structures, slope protection, and pavement works.

Coordinate material requisition, manpower allocation, and resource deployment.

Implement site safety plans, monitor PPE usage, and ensure compliance with HSE policies.

Verify all test cube tests, slump reports, NDT and maintain inspection records etc.

Key Skills & Technical Expertise

Understanding of structural and finishing drawings, BBS, and shuttering systems.

Knowledge of formwork systems (Doka, Peri, Cuplock, Conventional) and concreting practices.

Ability to check rebar detailing, cover, spacing, and anchorage as per IS codes drawings.

Experience in waterproofing, retaining walls, drainage works, and concrete repairs.

Proficient in surveying tools (Auto level/Total Station) for accuracy verification.

Familiar with IS 456, IS 383, IS 516, and IS 10262 standards for concrete works.

Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD (optional ), and DPR/reporting documentation.

Qualification & Experience

Qualification: Diploma / ITI in Civil Engineering

Experience: 8-10 years in structural and finishing supervision for high-rise, industrial, or infrastructure projects.

Preferred Exposure (Optional ): Ropeway stations, RCC substructure/superstructure , and commercial foundations.
