The Role:

As a Test Case developer for verifying BMS (software and system level) youll be part of a dynamic and innovative team that will ensure we deliver our software on time and to quality. The main activity for this role is to develop test cases from requirements to validate our in-house software using the latest HIL and test automation capability.

A position within the BMS team requires a highly motivated and hands on team player with exceptional attention to detail, pro-activeness, diligence, a positive attitude and the ability to communicate well. Our customers expect high standards, and we require staff capable of meeting such demands.

Area of Responsibility:

  • Knowledge in Gherkin and keyword driven testing
  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate keyword implementation steps for automation team
  • Knowledge in using JIRA, 3Dexperience (TRM), X-Ray wizard, CIARA and Copilot
  • Understanding of the BMS system, to minimise reliance on system engineers for detailed explanation.
  • Basic understanding of HiL rigs to evaluate the feasibility of performing tests on rigs as well as raising rig upgrades request when capability is missing.
  • Create the tests based on the system requirements (reviewed, approved, and baselined), considering the requirements verification criteria.
  • Take into consideration the test methods & the methods for deriving the tests (according to ISO before test creation, mentioning them in the test.
  • Provide detailed test description (test purpose) in natural language form.
  • Provide pre-conditions for test cases when needed.
  • Provide a clear test flow or test sequence.

Knowledge / Experience:

  • Experience of requirements evaluation and test case development
  • Knowledge in root cause examination and debugging system failures
  • Understanding of programming languages such as Python / C & C++, OR MATLAB as well as modelling tools like Simulink.
