The Online Quality Controller is responsible for monitoring incoming raw materials and packaging supplies, including pouches, carton boxes, plastic jars, and other materials. Additionally, they supervise process and packaging line operations and perform real-time quality inspections to ensure that products adhere to food safety, hygiene, and quality standards. This role requires coordination with production teams and Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and FSSAI guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Online Quality Control (QC)

  • Perform in-process quality checks on the packing line (sealing, weight, batch coding, printing clarity, leakage, hygiene, etc.).
  • Ensure product quality meets company & regulatory requirements.
  • Report and stop production in case of deviation or non-conformance.
  • Inspect packaging integrity and verify CCPs/OPRPs as per HACCP & food safety guidelines.
  • Approve or reject raw materials with respect to quality standards and record supplier performance
  • Inspect procedures of the entire production cycle to ensure they are efficient and comply with safety standards
  • Supervise packing line operations for proper sealing, coding, batch details, and label accuracy.

Coordination

  • Work closely with Production, QA, and Store teams for smooth packing operations.
  • Maintain daily production & QC reports and submit to QA.

Skills & Competencies

· Understanding of GMP, GHP, HACCP, and FSSAI requirements

  • Strong observation and quality inspection skills
  • Leadership and manpower handling
  • Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office, Tally)

Qualification & Experience

  • Education: Diploma/Graduate in Food Technology, Science, or related field
  • Experience: 1 years in food industry production/QC/packing (preferred)
  • Industry: Food/FMCG/Agro/Spices/Dairy etc.
