Role overview

We're hiring a UI/UX Product Designer (3+ years) to own end-to-end product design from research and information architecture to high-fidelity UI, design systems, and engineering handoff for web applications that integrate AI. You'll partner with Product and Engineering to ship measurable improvements to usability, trust, and business outcomes.

Work arrangement

• Employment: Full-time
• Location: Fully remote
• Schedule: Collaboration overlap with 5:00 PM–2:00 AM IST (Indian Standard Time)

What you'll do

• User research & discovery: Conduct interviews, surveys, and task analyses; synthesize insights into personas, jobs-to-be-done, and opportunity maps.
• Information architecture: Define navigation, content hierarchy, and data models that scale; map end-to-end user journeys and service blueprints.
• Interaction & flows: Design task flows for complex web apps (forms, dashboards, document workflows); specify edge cases, errors, and empty states.
• Visual/UI design: Create high-fidelity interfaces with strong layout, typography, spacing, and component composition; ensure responsiveness.
• Accessibility: Design to WCAG 2.1 AA (focus order, contrast, keyboard, ARIA), and run audits/bug bashes to close gaps.
• Design systems: Build and maintain tokens, components, variants, and usage guidelines; drive consistency and speed across teams.
• AI UX: Craft assistant/chat patterns, autocompletion, summarization and RAG experiences with clear affordances, confidence states, and recoverability.
• Prototyping & testing: Prototype in Figma; run usability tests (moderated/unmoderated), A/B tests, and iterate based on evidence.
• Handoff & delivery: Produce airtight specs (constraints, states, tokens, redlines); collaborate in PR reviews; track design QA to release.
• Measurement: Define success metrics (task success, time-on-task, adoption, CSAT/NPS); instrument analytics with PM/Eng and report deltas.
• Documentation & governance: Keep decision logs, changelogs, and patterns up to date; champion design quality, ethics, and privacy by design.

What you bring (Minimum)

• 3+ years shipping end-to-end product design for web applications (B2B or complex workflows).
• Portfolio with 2–3 case studies showing problem framing → decisions → impact; include research, IA, prototyping, and shipped UI.
• Figma expert: Auto-layout, constraints, variants, component properties, and tokens.
• Accessibility proficiency (WCAG 2.1), with examples of inclusive patterns and remediation.
• Evidence-driven: Comfortable with analytics, usability testing, and experiment-driven iteration.
• AI-aware UX: Experience designing for LLM/assistant or similar AI features (error handling, confidence, transparency).
• Strong collaboration & communication across time zones; clear specs and async updates in tools like Jira/Linear/Notion.

Nice to have

• LegalTech/FinTech/RegTech experience.
• Familiarity with engineering stacks (Python/JS) and component libraries; basic understanding of API/JSON constraints.
• Tooling: FigJam, GA4/Mixpanel, Hotjar/FullStory, Lookback, Maze/UserTesting.
• UX writing/microcopy for high-stakes, compliance-sensitive contexts.
• Experience designing secure document workflows and data-sensitive interfaces.
