About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior QA Automation Test Lead with strong Python automation skills and expertise in the mortgage or financial services domain. You will lead a QA team, design scalable test automation frameworks, and ensure delivery of high-quality, compliant mortgage software products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead QA activities across multiple mortgage applications (LOS, POS, servicing, underwriting)
  • Develop and maintain Python-based automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend testing
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Developers to design test scenarios
  • Own QA strategy, planning, and execution for new features, releases, and regression cycles
  • Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
  • Ensure coverage for compliance, regulatory, and risk scenarios
  • Mentor and guide a team of automation engineers; enforce QA best practices
  • Analyze production issues and recommend preventive actions
  • Report testing metrics and drive quality improvements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in QA/testing, including 4+ years in QA leadership
  • Strong programming skills in Python (mandatory)
  • Experience with automation tools/frameworks: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit, BDD (Cucumber)
  • Expertise in PyTest, Selenium, Robot Framework, Behave, Requests/HTTPx for API testing
  • Strong mortgage domain knowledge (LOS, POS, Servicing Systems)
  • Experience with Encompass, Black Knight, Calyx, ICE Mortgage Technology (nice to have)
  • Knowledge of mortgage lifecycle: application, underwriting, approval, funding, closing, servicing
  • Experience testing data pipelines, ETL processes, and working with SQL/PLSQL
  • Hands-on with CI/CD tools, Git, Jenkins, Docker
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Proficient in test management tools (JIRA, ADO, Zephyr)
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ISTQB or similar certification
  • Familiarity with US mortgage compliance (RESPA, TRID, HMDA)
  • Performance testing experience (JMeter, LoadRunner)
  • Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure)
  • Experience testing data-driven applications or financial calculations (amortization, APR, DTI, LTV)
