The Junior Geriatric Rehabilitation role at Spandana Hospital is a crucial position aimed at supporting our elderly patients with comprehensive rehabilitation services. The ideal candidate will have one to three years of experience, working in a full-time or part-time capacity from our headquarters in Bangalore. This position demands expertise in patient assessment, mobility training, and therapeutic exercise.

Qualifications and Skills

• Must have skills in patient assessment to accurately evaluate elderly patients' rehabilitation needs and formulate appropriate treatments. (Mandatory skill)
• Expertise in mobility training to help patients enhance their movement and reduce mobility limitations. (Mandatory skill)
• Proficiency in therapeutic exercise to develop customized exercise programs aimed at improving physical strength among geriatric patients. (Mandatory skill)
• Experience in care planning to collaboratively develop comprehensive rehabilitation plans that promote patient recovery.
• Knowledge of fall prevention strategies to ensure the safety and security of elderly patients during their rehabilitation process.
• Understanding and experience with assistive devices to guide patients in using supportive equipment that enhances their daily functioning.
• Strong communication skills to effectively discuss patient progress and rehabilitation outcomes with the healthcare team and patients' families.
• Empathy and patience to compassionately support elderly patients through the challenges of rehabilitation and recovery.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of geriatric patients to determine their rehabilitation needs and plan personalized care strategies.
• Instruct and assist patients in mobility exercises aimed at improving overall physical functionality and reducing immobility.
• Develop and implement therapeutic exercise programs tailored to the specific needs and conditions of elderly patients.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust rehabilitation plans as necessary to maximize recovery and functional independence.
• Educate patients and their families on the safe use of assistive devices to support daily activities and mobility.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary team members to integrate comprehensive care pathways for patients.
• Promote an environment of safety and respect, implementing fall prevention measures to avoid injury and complication.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
