Do you want to help deliver the best-in-class supply platform for our customers, utilizing the latest standards and technology solutions in one of the best travel technology organizations in the world?Advertising Engineering team builds the engine to propel our business forward. We strive to deliver products, platforms, and insights which are scalable, integrated, and innovative.The goal of Ads Tech team is to spearhead advertising products and services across many Expedia brands including BEX, , Portfolio Brands (COMET & ), Expedia Partner Sites (EPS), and Vrbo. We help our advertisers identify travelers on EG sites, target specific traveler criteria, and then deliver the most relevant products.As a Software Development Engineer II, you will spearhead small, well-defined projects, and actively identifies inefficiencies in existing systems. As a member of the team, you will work in alliance with global teams. We value rigor and innovative thinking in our development process and believe in the power of a motivated & agile development team.An established performer who consistently applies software engineering practices to business contexts, leads small, well-defined projects and continues as a supporting player on complex projects, and actively identifies inefficiencies in existing systems.What you'll do :

• You will collaborate with team members to co-develop and solve problems.
• You will take advantage of opportunities to build new technical expertise in a specific engineering area.
• You will develop and test standard software applications and related programs and procedures to ensure they meet design requirements.
• You will apply software design process, data structures and/or design patterns and computer science fundamentals to write code that is clean, maintainable, optimized, modular with good naming conventions.
• You will apply knowledge of database design to solve data requirements.
• You will help coordinate stakeholder input and collaboration efforts when developing solutions to issues.
• You will think broadly and understand how, why and when policies/processes are standardized and when they differ across the organization.
• You will execute tasks and/or provide data to support implementation of holistic solutions that forge linkages between structure, people, process and technology.

Who you are:Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent professional experience.
• 2+ years of experience in full stack development.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Angular, ).
• Familiarity in a couple of databases, API access patterns and integration. Solid understanding of REST, GraphQL and/or gRPC, as well as API testing.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in AWS and continuous delivery practices. Working knowledge of modern build systems (Jenkins, etc). Experience using GIT in a collaborative setting.
• Ability to test, monitor, debug, fix issues within established SLAs, using testing and monitoring tools.
• Strong knowledge on software design patterns, algorithms, data structures, and multithreading concepts.
• A passion for solving complex software engineering puzzles in a dynamic environment.
• Strong problem-solving and logical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
