Company Description

Compartment S4 is a collaborative firm formed by eight architects who graduated from the Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology (CEPT) University. Established in 2017, the firm offers design solutions across various sectors, including Architecture, Urban Design, Social Infrastructure, and Interior Design. The firm emphasizes people-centric, environmentally sensitive design, utilizing local resources and techniques. Compartment S4 aims to create enhanced spatial experiences through efficient, context-responsive designs that prioritize user benefits and environmental sustainability.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Junior Urban Designer located in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The Junior Urban Designer will be responsible for assisting in the development of urban design projects, participating in site analysis, creating design concepts, and collaborating with the team on comprehensive planning and architectural tasks. Day-to-day tasks will also include preparing presentation materials, coordinating with consultants, and contributing to landscape architecture projects.

Qualifications

  • Skills in Urban Planning and Urban Design
  • Minimum one year of work experience in the firkd of urban design or planning
  • Experience in Comprehensive Planning
  • Knowledge in Architecture
  • Excellent design and presentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Bachelor's degree in Urban Design, Architecture, or related field
  • Experience in sustainable design practices is a plus
