Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CCTV and Network Engineer to join our technical team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both electronic security systems and IP networking. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of complex CCTV systems and the network infrastructure that supports them. This role requires a problem-solver who can work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

CCTV & Security Systems:

· Install, configure, and maintain IP-based CCTV systems, including cameras (fixed, PTZ, thermal), video management software (VMS), network video recorders (NVRs), and video analytics platforms.

· Perform site surveys to assess customer needs and determine optimal camera placement and system design.

· Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to video quality, recording, storage, and system integration.

· Configure and optimize video analytics software, and user access permissions.

· Integrate CCTV systems with other security components like access control and intrusion alarms.

Network Engineering:

· Design, configure, and troubleshoot local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and wireless networks (Wi-Fi) that support security systems.

· Manage network switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points to ensure optimal performance and security for video traffic.

· Implement and understand VLANs, QoS (Quality of Service) for prioritizing video traffic, IP addressing, and subnetting.

· Troubleshoot complex network issues involving latency, bandwidth, packet loss, and connectivity.

General Duties:

· Provide technical support and training to end-users and clients.

· Create and maintain accurate documentation, including network diagrams, system configurations, and as-built drawings.

· Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

· Stay current with the latest technologies and best practices in both the security and networking industries.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Experience:

1+ years of hands-on experience installing and maintaining IP-based CCTV systems and Configuring Networks

·
Technical Knowledge:

o   In-depth knowledge of major VMS platforms (e.g., Milestone, Genetec, Exacq, Avigilon) and camera manufacturers (e.g., Axis, Hanwha Vision, Bosch).

o   Strong understanding of IP networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Subnetting).

o   Experience with configuring and managing network switches (Cisco, HP, Ubiquiti, etc.).

o   Ability to use network diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark, ping, traceroute).

Certifications (Preferred):

o   Relevant certifications such as 
CompTIA Network+

, or manufacturer-specific certifications (e.g., Milestone, Genetec, Axis).
